something a bit wrong with this picture, hm?
Price to give birth in Canada: Free.
Price for private room: Free in most hospitals, or $40 per night. That is usually covered by even the most basic health insurance.
Price for theme/upgraded private room: $80 per night
Gosh I love Canada :D
Alright, in Iceland? I gave birth, had a child in the NICU, was in a private room for a week, then was in a family room when I was discharged and he wasn’t.
What did I pay? $20 for shitload of candy from the vending machine because hospital food is shit.
I’m seriously disappointed in how selfish my country is. people used to be proud to be American… but I can’t.. because the people here are such pricks.. They don’t give a shit about the health of their people.. all they see is money.. we’re just numbers to them.. they don’t even see us as individual people
I live in America, have full coverage health insurance and it will cost me NOTHING to have a baby. Not sure what all this fuss is about.
